He's still #6 with Yeah 3x and it was the only song in the top 10 to increase from the previous week, I read. Champion is still doing well too! I remember someone saying it would drop like a brick because of depressed demand.

I agree, we're only 2 days away from the premiere, there's not point on releasing it early now. They have a plan and they BETTER have learned with the UK that's it's best to stick with their plans if the goal is to make 'HIAM' suceed.

"Surprisingly"? :-/ The song is barely 5 days old, she performed at the Grammy ****in' Awards and is already doing TV appearances and stuff. If anything, surprising is the fact it isn't GAINING on 'INAD'.

And I see nobody saying her Hot 100 debut is in danger because of 'INAD'.

BTW is an extraordinary success and from where it is, it is extremely hard if not impossible to actually gain. Not that the song has to gain, as it is already on top of the world.

Why would a song much closer to the sales ceiling be making comparative gains on a song that hasn't even approached that ceiling? INAD has much more room to grow than BTW does.

Who's talking about the Hot 100 #1 - that's still gonna happen, so you can't say "was" - ? I'm just saying it's no surprise it has a big lead being still so new and with Grammy and TV apperances already happening. But if you all wanna say otherwise, whatever. In this case, your use of the phrase indicates that, if we're arguing in theory, the alternative outcome (BTW gaining on INAD) should have been more likely than the actual outcome (INAD gaining on BTW) given the factors surrounding the situation.
