And they have every right to. But seriously, I think the whole concept of Lady Gaga copying Madonna is so worn out. Madonna set the standard for female performers. Of course artists in future generations are going to take inspiration from her. And Born This Way also sounds like TLC, Robyn, and a gospel choir at times. The fact that she can combine such different styles of music to form a cohesive pop musical event, making it entirely her own in the process, should be complimented.
I'm not bashing you for your opinion, I just honestly don't see what the big uproar is about this song and Express Yourself.
OAN: I'm so thrilled that GaGa is taking over the world with this song, and not Just Dance 2.0. There hasn't been a pop song so successful with the topic of equality at it's core in a long time, and the first I can remember to primarily be about the GLBT community. With the pace she's on, she will be the biggest pop star of our generation.
