Yeah the lyrics are the risky groundbreaking part.

However, the beat isn't as generic as people are saying it is. Just because it's an upbeat song is about the only generic part about it. She's combined influences from music in different genres and time periods and she combined it all into a smash hit. When all of the sounds are put together, it DOES sound generic but when you can hear the beats clearly and can differentiate them from each other you can hear the amazingness and the unique qualities she brought to this song.

This song deserves all the success it has coming its way.
