Bad news. Could easily turn into another Iran. Back in the 70s Iran was a monarchy (but essentially a dictatorship), led by a person who tolerated western influence and was accepted and respected by the western world, much like Mubarak. But this person also cared a great deal about his own wealth and there were a lot of problems with his rule, much like Mubarak's. After the Iranian revolution he was overthrown and after a few years of turmoil an Islamic state was created, which is what will most likely happen to Egypt. Immediately women were forced to wear veils, women were no longer allowed to go to school and a lot of other typically Muslim ways of life were instated that completely go against human rights as we know them. That is why Iran is what it is today. I don't think that's really what we wish for Egypt, but I don't see it ending any other way.

I had the exact same feeling. Their intentions are good but when people are scared and directionless that's when the worst political shifts occur.
