WARNING: RANT ahead
I usually ignore these posts but i'll make an exception this time. NOBODY, especially Gaga, is reaching for Britney's anything. She's light years PAST Britney Spears as far as being a critically admired
artist. She's compared to the Legends, and not her peers for a reason. Not only does write her own songs but she's involved with every aspect imaginable that requires the slightest creative sense, and many that don't. She's not a pop puppet, she's an ARTIST who happens to exist in a puppet dominated indusrty.
I swear it drives me insane when people attempt to belittle her success by saying
"in the next blah blah amount of years she can finally be in the ranks of blah blah". The reality is she's past her peers, NO "star" of our generation has ever had the (commercial) mass appeal as well as the underlying artistry that she has, so give it a rest. END RANT
