Hold It Against Me is more infectous, as are the others. Those songs are more generic sounding so that it is easier to digest. We R Who W R was something I liked on the first listen.
Born This Way is a sound I'm not used to, so I was not going to be able to just embrace it. Of course by now I was born this way

The only reason people say its generic is because of the producer. NO other artist has released a dubstep song into mainstream and had success. And everyones entitled to their own opinions, so why is someone saying they prefer HIAM 'too far'?
The electric feel, feels like Ke$ha. Feels like house. House/Dance music is what's in right now, that's why it sounds generic. The way to avoid it is to add an element that SOUNDS different, new, original.

I agree. When to bed after listening to it, I was not really feeling it the way I wanted to. After listening again I really hear the song for what it is. The sound is universal, which is great because that's what the lyrics attempt to be. I knew this would not be PF/BR quality. I really believe BTW to be the warm up single into this era, but I think it'll be huge WW.

And I SWEAR I'm not shading or hating, y'all know I even like Gaga, but she made so much hype for this? It's true, it's not generic, but I don't think it has the "epicness" that everyone said it would have.
and by the way, HIAM is far from generic bb, no mainstream artist has ever done dubstep, so let's not even go there.
