I don't think that was an example of ignorance. I think peoples' overly negative response is an example of ignorance. :] I can't at people acting like Christina committed a crime. Flubbing the lyrics to the national anthem is embarrassing, but it's TOO MUCH to jump on her for it like people are.

Ignorance is bliss on occasions but for the most part it's a wall to block out the truth.

I hate when people bash old artists saying they are **** and the like. In a pop music forum that's the ultimate test of ignorance imo

Like when someone said Elton John has sold 0 records or Mariah Carey's voice is garbage or Madonna is and old hag.

Anyway it's so sad people despise old music and just ignore these artists had sold millions of albums and were really successful and legendary smh...

You cannot like their music, that's ok! but deny their careers & accomplishments? I thought this forum was more educated since it's a pop culture music forum.

Yeah, referring to THE NATIONAL ANTHEM/STAR-SPANGLED BANNER as a "dumb song" is ignorant.

My random thoughts on ignorance

-Well, you can't blame someone who is ignorant for being ignorant. Unless they refuse to get educated, in which case they're stupid.

-People use the words ignorant and ignorance incorrectly all the time. By using them to excuse stupidity that isn't ignorance or using them as a replacement for the word stupid.

-From ignorance stems confusion. And from confusion stems hate, wars, etc.

I admit to being ignorant in NHB which ultimately led to my ban. And I deeply regret it.

I think on most occasions people use ignorance as an excuse. It's sad. :[

Agreed! People try too much to compare older artists... they forget that those artists are from a different time where the music industry was much different, though Mariah has done well in the recent past still.
