For 60 Minutes? Not really. It's generally old people who watch (who are slower to change viewing habits), so viewership has stayed pretty stable in the 15m-18m range the past few years.

You keep confusing 60 Minutes with Anderson Coopers show AC 360. Anderson is just one reporter for 60 Minutes, its not his show.

Honestly, it depends on the lead-in. It does better in the fall when there is football playing beforehand, but it's still generally consistent year-to-year. A couple weeks ago it pulled in 17.40m viewers.

Last year's pre-Grammy show pulled in 12.33m viewers, which is still easily enough to be the most-watched news program on the air.

It's actually good because this will give her more exposure to older demographics. It's not really every day that a recently emerged pop star gets their own segment on 60 Minutes, probably because the older audience would normally have no knowledge of/interest in them.
