I think they took her out for SOTY/ROTY because then she would weep SOTY, ROTY, and AOTY. At least that's what I like to think. So she better win AOTY because then they could have easily given her SOTY or ROTY. I would believe it to be one of the biggest snubs in the history of the Grammy's!

Haha, naaah, she actually does not deserve it. It would be kind of bittersweet for her to win. I love The Fame Monster and *****d the **** out of it throughout 2010, but it really is too short an album. It's extremely solid and consistent and it's concept is spot on (even with some minor bumps like Monster and Telephone), but Arcade Fire actually deserves to win.

Don't worry, if Gaga's nominated next year, she'll be the first person since Barbra Streisand in the 60s to get 3 consecutive AOTY nominations. She'll have it in the bag.

I would die if she really won Album Of the Year. It's unlikely but not impossible.

I doubt she would sweep. Still, she may very likely do the trifecta next year.

And yes, Bad Romance was a disgusting snub. Even non-Gaga fans agree on that. I remember Pitchfork doing an overview of the nominations and saying it was by far the most glaring and undeserved snub they had seen in years.

Honey I'm not clouded by my Gaga fanatism. I'm an even bigger Kanye stan than a little monster.

I know how these things work and how the ****ing Grammys really don't like Kanye (don't bring me the wins receipts, he never won in the GF). I hope they do not overlook him.

I also doubt Gaga puts out an album better than MBDTF, if not only because no one saw that coming, while Born This Way is one of the most anticipated albums of the last decade. From that alone, she may really suffer from over hype. Still, if BTW lives to the expectations, it will undoubtedly become a cultural phenomenon of 2011, something MBDTF didn't manage to do, unfortunately.

I still hope Kanye takes it next year as I really don't see anyone putting out a masterpiece up to par with Fantasy, but neither Kanye nor the album have the potential to achieve the larger than life status that Gaga and BTW most likely will.

I don't think she will win AOTY next year. It'll most likely go to Kanye, unless Born This Way is simply truly a critical favorite. We'll see. If she doesn't win this year, I don't think she is going to win for a while
