I got the idea for this thread today and I thought it could be fun to try.
I am not a statistician, but with rather straightforward statistical analysis we can get some fun numbers about different members, their relevance, post quality etc.
What I will do in the beginning (phase 1) to test the idea:
1) I will post a list of about 10 well-known ATRL members
2) ATRLers will rate these members on all-time relevance scale, from 1 (least relevant) to 100 (most relevant)
3) After we get about 40 ratings, which I think is a statistically valid amount for ATRL, I will add up the points and calculate the average perceived relevance of each member
4) I will divide the average perceived relevance with the number of posts that member has accumulated and we'll get the perceived quality of members per post!
5) having these numbers, we can make some other fun calculations together. If the thread will spark enough interest, I will do the analysis for much
more than 10 members in the second phase
note: to control for the votes from same stanbases, I will give weights; for example member Michael might give me a 100 (he better
) because he also stans for Pink and he is more exposed to my posts than an average ATRLer, so I will give his rating of me a smaller weight of 3/4 as opposed to a weight of 1 for others' ranking. Hope it makes sense.
So interesting findings as a result of the analysis will be:
- More or less statistically valid perceived ALL-TIME average relevance of a member
- Perceived average quality of members' posts
I wouldn't like to make this a long process and I will do the calculations as soon as possible
...
Hopefully it will be fun for people on here. Let me know if you guys are interested and if I'll receive several posts saying that this idea doesn't suck, I'll post the list of 10 members to rate

now ATRL members should rank these members according to their all-time relevance within the range from 0 to 100. With 0 being least relevant and 100 being most relevant.

4) Patrick 98
5) D.M.F 45
6) Sticks 77
7) Hot'N'Cold 29
8) Rockstar101 51

Anyone can vote. You can either post your rankings here in the thread, or if you want to keep it a secret, send it to me and Sunderland 4Ever in a PM.
As soon as I'll get around 30 or 40 rankings I'll add them up and calculate average relevance.
Participants can vote too.
Please try to be objective and don't let the personal dislike for a certain member cause the fact that you give him lower amount of points than he/she deserves.
