It made it to #2 on iTunes just off the video + airplay and it jumped to #1 after just one performance (the AMA's). The other performances made little to no impact, really.

If you read the album reviews, you'll see most of the one-star ratings are because of "Peacock." It wouldn't have reached #1, trust me.
