Live performances are more sales boosters than promotion. The boost they give is temporary and short-termed.
Radio play is mid-termed promotion, and should give the song temporal longevity in Digital sales and expose the song to a specific audience.
The best promotion out there is a music video. It's long-termed promotion, boosts the sales, song-exposure and effects both Digital & Radio formats.
If Rihanna was to perform WMN after a while, it wouldn't effect it's position much anyway.

If Rihanna performed WMN on Ellen, or Oprah, or the Today Show, whatever, it would be Top 10 again. PROMO is golden, it helps, no matter what it is.
Rihanna hasnt done real promo since the release of LOUD. Shes beginning it though, with the NBA ALL STARS and Hopefully Grammys!

What was the point of posting those videos when they were performed over 2months ago. You're only proving my point. Television performances and their effect resonates weeks afterwards, especially if it's a popular television show with 10-30Million Viewers.
