I love that you knew I was talking about the Blackout cover LOL. I don't know if it's the worst...but it's certainly up there. Complete and utter ****ing fail.

Why was she banned to begin with, why you say corrupt radio of that time? (They played back then a lot of R&B/Hip-Hop hell back then Mainstream Top 40 stations leaned toward these genres).

I just found out about this a few weeks ago, but apparently it had something to do with Britney's concert tour. I believe Britney's team chose a different promoter and in retaliation Clear Channel didn't play any of her music on their stations.

That's true. MTV should be ashamed of themselves for not giving her one earlier.
I still believe MTV only gave her the VMA to make up for their mistreatment of her the year before and for months of making fun of her. They know w/o Britney they would have faded into obscurity years ago...

Yeah I believe so too. They didn't give her any for her earlier epic videos but then suddenly 3 for Piece of me?? It's a great song and the video could have been so cool but the result is just disappointing.

I agree, and 2008 VMA's were pretty much all about her.
Hmm... If Get Back was going to be the first single. Don't you think maybe all the scenes recorded in july were scenes for a Get Back music video? then her label or someone decided that Gimme More was the best option for her comeback single, so Brit shot the Gimme More video, all rushed because it was a move of last minute to change the comeback single. It makes perfect sense to me. I think recording two scenes between one month time for the same music video is stupid.

I do believe the idea was pretty good, but the realization was just terrible.
It's kinda how I feel about the "Circus" video, good idea, but the final product could have been better.

But wasn't Gimme More rumored to be called Get Back at that time?? So when it says Get Back, they mean the song we now know is Gimme More?

I have never thought it was because of the tour! **** them! "I'm A Slave 4 U", "Me Against The Music", "Toxic" all should have been #1!
Thank God she got the support from MTV and the album sold great (and the singles did well Worldwide).
