Alicia Keys celebrates her B'Day w/ Beyonce & Jay-Z!
Alicia Keys celebrated her 30th Birthday this week with an Egyptian Themed Birthday party (inspired by her son Egypt). My friend in blogging Claire was on hand to enjoy the festivities that were attended by the likes of Gayle King, Jay-z and Beyonce. Her husband Swizz Beatz and mother Terry were also on hand.

So last night I headed downtown to Charles street to celebrate Alicia Keys’ birthday along with Swizz Beatz, Gayle King, and more.
The party had an Egyptian theme (inspired by their son, Egypt), and many people were wearing turbans, belly dancing, and drinking African themed drinks.
I was mid belly dance when I saw Beyonce and Jay-Z walk in. Yes, I know!! My friend forbade me from acting like a ‘groupie’ and taking a picture with them, though I did shake their hands towards the end (and snuck a picture of them enjoying Alicia’s red velvet cupcakes.)
Beyonce looked fresh and gorgeous, and Jay-Z was super nice. I told him how much I loved Decoded, and he was appreciative. It was a fun night!
* Fun fact. Alicia’s mom took the first picture. She was so cute!
