When I first heard the first set of lyrics, I was like WTF is she doing aiming it at gays / trannys 
But after reading it in full, I now understand what the song is and what it's saying.
It makes more sense now

Where she failed, in my opinion, is that she was trying to be inspirational with the lyrics - i.e., with word choice and concepts. She used words that are so blatant and obvious that they come off as contrived.
Some of the most inspirational songs lack any of the generic and cliche words that BTW has. Madonna's Papa Don't Preach is highly inspirational and the lyrics are not cheesy at all. Gwen Stefani's Cool is inspirational, and again, the lyrics are not cheesy at all.
There's a way to approach being inspirational and she did it all wrong, IMO. That isn't to say this song isn't inspirational, because I'm sure many people will find it so. However, sometimes something as simple as telling a story is the most inspirational thing in the world. That's why I like the first verse - I wish she would have built on that.

Ms. Gaga and her little monsters or whatever are just so overly liberal for comfort.  Anyways, I'm pretty sure the song will debut at #1 anyhow. I would like to hear her do more songs where she displays her singing talent though.

Listen and learn. Gaga stans by nature are able to appreciate the obscurity of her lyrics and interpret any number of situations or themes she may (or may not) be referring to within those lyrics.....
And since you asked... "Don't be a Drag, Be a Queen" can be a number of ways, but to help YOU understand i'll explain it straightfoward...
Don't be a DRAG ( Slang . someone or something tedious; a bore: Ex..It's a drag having to read this old novel.)
Be a QUEEN ( independent woman, confident girl, flamboyant male)
With context ......"Don't be a drag, depressed because of who you are, BUT embrace yourself and be a Superstar"Do you unserstand now?

This track is not a pop record, she's not doing it for the $$$.
She's lived in a life where she's felt victimised, she's now made it famous and she's made a record for HER FANS.
If any one of you has ever felt like you didn't belong, didn't fit in, felt prejudice against, this song is for you.
She believes, this track expresses and fights for what she believes in.
There will be songs that are more ****y, but this track is everything she's been fighting for.
Everything she wants, and wishes to say to the world, is in this track.
So for people doubting the track, just think of what it's been made FOR.
It's not your every-week track MADE to hit #1, it's a speech in a song.

She really went all out with these lyrics. I'm not gonna judge them yet, but I can't wait to hear how they're gonna work with the song itself.
Either way, I'm really excited for this. It's gonna be epic.
