At Approximately 12:00AM Our host took our server offline to move it to a new data center the downtime was to be minimized to about 2 hours, but it seems that when they restarted the server it reloaded the firewall configuration to load an incorrect set of rules, blocking all DNS requests. I have turned this feature off, and shouldn't happen again if the server has to go down. There was no hacker involved in this, this was completely the fault of our host, and me for not disabling the built in firewall.
