For the music, as an adult, I would say the 80s (I mean The Smiths, The Cure, Madonna, Talk Talk, Billy Idol, Depeche Mode, Culture Club, Platinum Blonde etc).
But for my childhood memories & childhood heroes, I would say the 90s (BritPop, EuroDance & pop rock).
Born '89, obviously, I spent childhood in the 90's.
80's were particularly a rebellious decade but without distinction. They are generally patterned in the same mindset. 90's saw a different generation who came out of their own.
