The texter who fell into a fountain is heating up the internet. This morning she appeared on National TV explaining how she felt when YouTube video of her went viral.On the video you hear audio of laughter and a man’s voice saying, Then she gets up an awkwardly walks away. The video also shows a second angle.
Thursday morning the woman identified as Cathy Cruz Marrero appeared on “Good Morning America” saying at first she thought it was funny but when the video went viral she got upset and is now considering taking legal action against the mall.
The Reading Eagle.com reports the woman has been allegedly in trouble on theft issues, "The Reading woman who became an Internet sensation by falling into a fountain while sending a text on her cell phone was in Berks County Court on Thursday for a status hearing on theft-by-deception and related charges.Cathy A. Cruz Marrero, 49, was charged in October 2009 for using a co-worker's credit cards to make more than $5,000 in purchases at two local stores."
Suing a mall who had nothing to do with your stupidity? What are you going to do? Sue them for putting a fountain right in front of you? Suing them for it going viral? Ch.. you're on GMA people do tons of crazy **** just for a bit of publicity and you get it effortlessly and now your pissed. Girl, take yo money buy a new phone and move on with life.
PS. She should be suing the person she was texting not the mall....unless she was texting her young child or something.
I don't agree with her freaking out about someone going to her aide as much but I do think it's wrong that it made it's way towards the internet... How did it? It's not like it was someone in the mall filming it, it was a security camera...
