I listen to artists of my own ethnicity and others, I just don't judge music off of the appearance of the person making it and I have no preference towards a musician because of their skin colour. It's all about the music.
Yeah I love Gaga, Britney and Taylor but I also love Usher, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Nicki, Kelly etc.

I play music that I like, that's the bottom line. Half the time I hear and like a song way before I know who sings it's name never mind their colour...
If I hear a song and I like it, then found out they are black, I still like the song. I love Rihanna's music just as much as I love some white girls' music. Most black artists don't have pure pop music, which is why I listen to fewer of their stuff, but it isn't because of their skin color. It just so happens everyone I stan for is white.
I listen more to artists my ethnicity because of the quality of music but I also worship other ethnicities music. For example, I worship all the soundtracks used in Hayao Miyazaki's movies, I love Shakira's indian influenced songs and I worship Dangerously in Love album.
