I hope so. It's just that when you look back at her past hits like Oh, 1,2 Step, etc. her sound was always so unique. She had her own lane. That's what set her apart and made her so interesting.
It was, she just doesn't want a 'crunk' label attached to her so she tries to expand her sound but her earlier sound is something that no one has done or is doing and if she just modernized it, just imagine. That's what I'd hope B.I. to have been... but idk if that sound would be successful in today's music.
She needs to capitalize for urban LAB/YIK type of bangers, Promise/Ride for mids, Gimmie Dat(more melodic chorus) type uptempos. I believe that's her lane now.
Ciara found her unique sound/niche when she went totally left field with "Promise" and debuted on top of Gwen Stefani and Eminem. She proved she could survive after the Crunk era died down and she wasn't just a fluke.
Weak singles and horrible management left her to fall to where she is right now.
