After winning some awards in 2009 and 2010, Ellie Goulding has confirmed her pop status with her hit “Starry Eyed” and then again in December, with her Elton John’s cover, “Your Song”
Despite all this, but now with her debut album, “Lights”, was finally given a U.S. release date: March 8. The good news for U.S. fans is that the release includes “Your Song”, and other tracks not included in the original version of the UK. That said, the extra songs were in their revival with “Bright Lights”. It's just a little bit embarrassing that the industry is stuck in the mode of re-release albums with two or three new tracks a few months after they were released. Gone are the days when an artist released an album and you had to wait two years before hearing them something newer.
For Ellie, the U.S. release date is great news, although I realize that date is released by the same artists as well cemented as Avril Lavigne and REM. Could be a little scary.
