Easy regimen for y'all. Trust me, I have beautiful skin.
Acne is horrible, but I've been clear for 5 years now. Proactiv is not a long-term solution.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser
Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner
Wait 1-2 mins (let the skin dry up a little bit from the toning)
Treat spots with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide
Wait until it is dry
Olay Complete Sensitive Skin Lotion SPF 15
Same regimen at night, feel free to use a night cream (just make sure it is non-comedogenic).
Some nights you can skip the moisturizing part because skin regenerates at night and you don't want to weaken it by "spoiling" with creams, etc. Makes healing faster.
Exfoliate 2-3 times a week with a gentle scrub (I like Loreal 360), but always moisturize after.
Don't obsess over it or get depressed or even use a bunch of stuff... less is more. Otherwise you get acne scars and pock marks.
Diet helps, but I don't think by much. However, drinking water gives you glow so hydrate as much as you can
ETA:
It took me 3-4 weeks to get my skin back to normal. And it wasn't until a year that I had the luxury to use more expensive brands since my skin was already in control. So it takes time.
