you have to spend money to make money and a lot of labels just aren't willing to spend the money to back their artists anymore

Promo is the only way to sell loads these days.

I don't think there is any logical way to do this. We have to move with the times. People want digital singles more.

Just out of curiosity, How much promo did Eminem have when Recovery was released?

He didnt have TONS of promo

But singles are promo

Music Videos are promo

Performances are promo

Digital is the new era, I don't think really there is any logical way to improve this :-/
Often the album sales is helped & supported a lot by their stans & fans, other people just tend to buy digital more and more !

I don't think this can be done unless removing digital singles. With this new era, I don't think we'll ever see the same numbers again. That is why the attention is on singles and re-releases I guess

Make music worth buying.

They should stop trying to promote physical CD sales and promote digital album sales instead. They should lower digital album prices and everytime you buy a single they should give you a discount on the album its from.

I think they should lower the price of albums first of all. I know I would be the first one to buy a lot more albums if they weren't all over 15$ here in Quebec. And of course, I don't want an album full of fillers.

Make them cheaper! I say 7.99 all albums, unless it's deluxe versions make those 10.99
