Ke$ha released her debut album titled Animal on January 5, 2010. The album which was mostly produced by Dr.Luke debuted at the number one spot with 152,000 copies in first week sales. Ke$ha set a record with those numbers on the digital side of the market. 76% of those sales were digital and that was the highest it had ever been for a number one album at the time. While the album was at it's number one spot, Ke$ha's lead single "Tik Tok" also occupied the number one spot on another Billboard chart. Kesha became the first act to achieve this feat since 2008 when Spirit and "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis simultaneously held the pole positions. In October 2010, Animal was certified platinum in excess of 1,000,000 copies sold in the US. The album has sold 2 million copies worldwide.
Tik Tok was Ke$ha's lead single. The song climed up the charts and stayed at the number one position for nine weeks thanks to it's amazing airplay and amazing sales. The song is one of few that has gone 5x platinum in the US. During Christmas 2009, t scored the biggest single-week sum of all time for a female artist selling 610,000 digital downloads in one week. Tik Tok was named the Hot 100 song of 2010. The song is Ke$ha's signature song and she still promotes this song with her latest singles.
Blah Blah Blah debuted at #07 [her highest debut] on the week that Animal was #01 and Tik Tok was still in the middle of it's reign. It didn't have a run like Tik Tok but it was still a top ten single with 2 million downloads in the US. Your Love Is My Drug peaked at the #04 position and has sold over 2.5 million downloads in the US. Take It Off continued her streak of top ten hits while peaking at #08 and selling over 1.5 million copies in the US and still selling.
Ke$ha has been scoring hits since Right Round. her singles sell without her doing much promotion. She does one or two performances for her singles and call it that. She now has 7 top ten singles and she's coming for more. Ke$ha has dominated 2010 and she's here to continue her domination in 2011 with the re-release of Animal titled Cannibal...

Your Love Is My Drug is the best thing Kesha has ever done. I love that song. I had no idea Kesha would be so big from this album, but Animal is pretty infectous
