This is simple you should choose one song from an album, the least favorite from you or the one that you don't consider that should be a single from the current artist.

What? I freakin' love "Man Down!" If anything, that SHOULD be a single!

For me, it's "Complicated" or "Skin."

The worst song on the album.. it may be a single-worthy song to some.. but not to me at all.
But of course all the ballads would count as bad single choices except for CKB.

Genuinely, Skin is the ONLY song on this album that could not released as a single to some territory.

Her albums usually have a pretty good amount of single-worthy tracks and 'Loud' isn't any different. I'd say "Complicated" or "Skin" are the least single-worthy though.

Man Down would SMASH on Urban in the summer.

If I had my druthers (and since S&M, ugh, is the next single)

Winter: S&M/Raining Men
Spring: Complicated/Cheers
Summer: CKB (with country male artist as duet partner)/Man Down U.S. Urban only)
Fall: Re-Release (we all know it's coming)

I love Man Down but the track is the most different from the album is so far away from the sound that is hitting today.

I'm not hating at all, I just don't know how well it would perform if released. I like the album, those two just don't seem like "single" material to me.

Well I agree with you that it sounds summery, and if it were to be released that would be the ideal time for it.

But I still don't think it makes a plausible single cause the backlash would be ridiculous. You know some Keeping Kids Sheltered advocacy group would raise a huge stink about all the gun and death references. Dumb ****s can't read between the lines and take everything at face value, so obviously Rihanna is singing about a literal assassination. All the edits they'd have to do for the radio if they couldn't even handle her talking about putting a figurative gun to a man's head and figuratively putting him out of his misery in "Unfaithful"...

But aside from that, I just don't like the track and I feel like Rihanna just sort rambles on and on throughout it and never takes us anywhere.

I think you are right, it might be successful on Urban, but that's the only place I see it being successful. I need Rihanna to continue that string of #1s which rely heavily on that pop appeal.

Skin or Complicated, though at any other time before the electro-pop craze they'd have been perfect. :P
