See it, to believe it! With nearly 6,508,000 followers on Twitter, Justin Bieber has now surpassed Britney Spears (with about 6,504,000 followers) as the second most followed user / Twitterer on the microblogging site.

Back in May last year (2010 I mean), Britney went on to gather most number of followers on Twitter (beating Ashton Kutcher in the process), but eventually lost it to the "Fame Monster," Lady Gaga in August.

Lady Gaga remains the untouched, at least for now.

Congrats to Bieber. :] It's not like it really matters who has the most twitter followers anyway, so let the kid have his moment. He's at a very high point in his career and it won't always be that way, so there's no point complaining about his success. Just like everyone else, his star will eventually fade. Legends are remembered, but at this point what he is is a teen heartthrob. Only time will tell if he'll be bigger than that, but right now his fans know what they like.

Can someone please just throw a grenade at Justin and make him DIE?
