After collaborating with Madonna on her highly successful 2008 crossover album Hard Candy, Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams will once again be working with the pop icon in the new year.
According to News.com.au, Skateboard P says he’s “got some stuff going on with Madonna,” though work on a new Despicable Me film as well as a new Neptunes project are taking up studio time as well. I've actually grown to like if not LOVE all of Pharrell's work on Hard Candy. Give It To Me, Incredible & Candy Shop etc. are all highlights of the album really standing the test of time as they are all still fresh, different, all whilst sounding very current - especially the delightful Incredible. I still hope to myself that this is STILL a rumor - and that all his tracks don't make the album - because the standard is high for album sales in 2011. But she will punch, slay & scalp nevertheless I'm so sure!
Ughhhhh. That's disappointing if it's true. Madonna needs a new, undiscovered producer that she can control. Because I have a feeling established producers like Pharrell and Timbaland don't let her in the creative process that much. She got lazy with Hard Candy and let them take control.
