although i didnt become aware of ATRL until last year, i *****d the hell out of TRL, i remember the 2004-2005 years when Kelly Clarkson was like the queen of TRL, ahhh memories and Hilary Duff too....

I remember TRL vividly

I saw it as Total Request, then TRL for years. I never missed it for a LONG time. I stopped watching when it became about 30 second music videos, a bunch of talking, and boring guests.

In it's heyday there was nothing better.

When they replaced "Me Against the Music" with "Toxic" just two days from its "TRL" retirement, I was so pissed!!!

I wasn't here for TRL like that because an artist couldn't have two videos on the countdown, they only played like 15 seconds of the video, the same three artists were #1 for 50 days, etc.

TRL used to be good circa the new millennium but then it just went downhill HARD.


And yes 106 was the ****. It was definitely my show with AJ and Free, and that's when Freestyle Fridays actually seemed important. I'm not here for Rocsi's overbite and Terrence's awkward humor.

I remember when With Love went number one then it already got replaced by Avril's GF then it returned for the second day at number one then Over It by Kat McPhee replaced it again and it returned again for the third time then Christina's Candyman blocked her.
