I really don't see it taking off like a lot of people think. Maybe not a BOMB but we've got SO many competition shows like that, I don't see it being a feat. It depends on who judges, too, so we'll see. But I know everyone is thinking "Isn't this American Idol in England?"
I defenily think so! This shows just need more popularity and I think is gonna be more sucessfull than it actually is. I belive there are a good number of countries which doesn't heard about this program. In my country, if i'm not mistaken, x-factor doesn't plays here in our tvs!
I think so as well. Idk about the rest of the American public, but I'm definitely over AI...esp without Simon... :-/...which is why I'll look forward to this show.
It will. If it's anything like the UK version, it will put American Idol to shame. The X Factor tends to usually bring in the "true" & top stars to mentor the contestants & perform. I can't wait for Beyonce to perform on the show. Let's not forget, Simon is a judge, so the show will be successful. It's as simple as that. I hope they choose the judges wisely. Top music executives/or huge stars (Mariah Carey, etc.) will suffice.

too bad it's airing until September. Britney could have gave it amazing views. we all know Simon the stan would have asked her to come on the show.

A lot of people are over American Idol, especially after 3 consecutive flop artists (David Cook, Kris Allen, and Lee DeWyze). Not to mention, all three of them sounded the same.
X Factor hopefully will bring more variety of winners.
A lot of my friends say I should try out for Idol, but I keep telling them that I won't participate in a show going down the tubes.
Once X Factor gets popular, I will prove them wrong and hopefully try out for X Factor.
