My question, to the people criticizing musicians for being "ugly", where in the thread title does it say anything about looks? Or how beautiful someone is? Or if you think they're ugly or pretty. This thread has NOTHING to do with that. This thread is about sex appeal. I'm so tired of seeing genuinely good threads like this going so off-topic because people think it's cute to bash others. Who are you to criticize someone you don't even know for being "ugly"?

Taylor isnt pop and it's not fair to call her pop. She is a country singer who happens to be young, pretty, and blonde so people automatically associate her image with the innovation of young pop (Britney) when she is not. If she was older, had dark brown hair and was singing the same songs people would call her what she is... a country singer!

I'm not talking about whether the artsit is ugly or pretty, I'm talking about sex. some people may think Taylor Swift is sexy, but it's pretty obvious that sex appeal had little to no impact on her success. On the other hand if GaGa wasn't so controversial, in other words if she she didn't get as much press attention then she wouldn't be as successful. and we all know the reason she gets so much attention is because of how she dresses and how she always talking and singing about sex.

IMO there's a difference between being sexy and being sex, as much as I like her music I think Lady Gaga is now the second one. It's like she's so over sexual in everything she does that it's lost all allure and you're pretty much immune to it...I don't think she really has sex appeal because she's too obvious.
