My fave tracks off Body Talk are Dancing On My Own, Hang With Me, and Indestructible -- in short, all her singles. After reading your review, I'm actually intrigued in checking the whole thing out.
Teenage Dream is a masterpiece. It deserves to be that high.

Reeces' Best Of 2010: Top 30 Albums (#04)
04. Drake, Thank Me Later
Standouts: 'Find Your Love', 'Karaoke', 'Miss Me', 'Over', 'Up All Night', 'Show Me A Good Time', 'The Resistance'
Thank Me Later easily takes the title as the best rap album of the year and possibly the most anticipated debut record of the year. After Drake gave us a taste of what he had to offer with the chart topping 'Best I Ever Had', this record had the big assignment of living up to the anticipation, and I'm glad to say the wait was all worth it. Drake talks about money, women, and his new life as a rapper, and at the same time has an impressive list of collaborators lined up to work with him in this record, T.I., Alicia Keys, Lil' Wayne, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj to name a few. The flawless 'Firework' starts off the album and it's immediately followed by the slow 'Karaoke', which has a vibe of melancholy around it as Drake gently sings about break-up. 'Miss Me' has the rapper going head to head with his mentor, while 'Up All Night' pretty much brings the two new biggest talents in hip-hop together to make an explosive and enjoyable track. 'Fancy' and 'Show Me A Good Time' bring the fun to the album, both with extremely catchy hooks; while Drake find himself singing rather than rapping in the masterpieces that is 'Find Your Love', and while his singing might not be the best, it shows a sincerity and vulnerability that is extremely unique. In short, Thank Me Later is enjoyable from beginning to end, Drake's flow is flawless and puts many of the veteran rappers to shame, his lyrics are heartfelt and clever, and the production is mind-blowing. One of the best records of the year, for sure.
Sidenote: I'm having a hard time choosing the order for the top 3, so I'll be back tomorrow with the exciting ending to this list

Standouts: 'Dancing On My Own', U Should Know Better', 'Time Machine', 'None Of Dem', 'Hang With Me, 'Call Your Girlfriend', 'Indestructible'
Last year we got 'The Fame Monster', this year we get 'Body Talk', dance pop at its best. Robyn is an underrated talent, and I find it amusing that the US, not even the UK, praise this very rare and unique talent. Body Talk is the union of the 3 EPs Robyn released this year, each part was very consistent, making this project even more impressive. 'Dancing On My Own' is absolute pop perfection, while 'Hang With Me' is daring and provocative, both tracks tell stories about falling recklessly in love, even though she is pretty much giving a warning against it. 'Time Machine' takes dance pop to another level, I'm sure the clubs would eat this track up, I would predict the same fate for the catchy 'None Of Dem'. She keeps the dance beats playing throughout the entire album, but she manages to show a more mature side in 'Call Your Girlfriend', where Robyn find herself enjoying new love while still being concerned about a third party getting hurt in that crazy love triangle. Other album highlights include, 'U Should Know Better', where she goes head to head with Snoop Dogg, beating him at his own game, while the track reaches an explosive ending with a classic line "Even the industry knows not to **** with me". Robyn is proof that commercial success is secondary when you have the ability to deliver such a masterpiece like this record. Those who have had the opportunity to enjoy Body Talk are the lucky one, the ones that haven't, their loss.
05. Katy Perry, Teenage Dream
Standouts: 'Teenage Dream', 'Circle The Drain', 'Not Like The Movies', 'ET', 'Last Friday Night', 'Firework', 'California Gurls'
This should come as no surprise, I have been a huge Katy Perry supporter since the beginning of her career, and this Grammy nominated record is making me love this girl even more. Sure, she is not the most talented vocalist, but she has something in her favor, her creativity and the attitude she brings to every track. Katy Perry is a hit machine, scoring three numbers from this album, so far, who can forget the irresistible 'California Gurls', which was everywhere this summer, or the anthem that 'Teenage Dream' became for many and the encouraging message in 'Firework'; all classic hits that will probably be remembered for years. 'Last Friday Night' starts off the album in a good note, just a fun track about a party girl with the morning after blur, although she is pretty sure it ruled. Other highlights from this record include 'Circle The Drain', where an angry Katy claims she wants to be someone's lover not their ****ing mother, and the simply brilliant 'ET'. This record has a very sentimental side too, 'Pearl' tells the story of an insecure woman living inside of her shell. This side is also shown on the power ballad, 'Not Like The Movies', where her voice shines, as Perry wishes for a love that's cinematic and dramatic with the perfect ending. Teenage Dream is definitely an upgrade from her debut album, which was a great record, and judging by the response she is getting from the general public, I'm not alone in thinking this is one of the best albums of the year.
