the war of the mods, it's going to be fun

Considering that many big movies make more than that in a single weekend (or day, for that matter), I wouldn't be too impressed with how "Burlesque" has done.

The film is doing ok, not exceptional, but it's neither a failure. 34M is fine for a musical.

I saw burlesque is Sony Digital Video/Audio and it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except this is DOMESTIC gross. Mamma Mia grossed over $600 million WW.

Considering with 2800 theatres showing Burlesque and its been grossing only a couple of thousands per day, don't expect it to leap into the top 10 any time soon. Plus it's been decreased to only 1500 theatres next week.

This movie is going to have a difficult time passing $37-$40 million.

Just saying.

90% of the general public has said the same thing. The people matter.

May I see the research you have conducted? Where did this 90% of the public statistic come from? 90% of the general public would equate some massive sales since, well, 90% is the majority of the world.

Indeed the people matter - they are the ones spending the money to see the movie and at 34 million, it has yet to profit. Remember, there are advertising costs too!

Well, I'll be happy to point out to you the infinite number of times you have called everyone a hater/lessor...starting with your latest post in SYG, but I digress...

There is a wonderful thing called debate, which exists for a multitude of purposes, recreation being one of them. I enjoy debating things and your incredibly rose-colored view of Xtina is ripe for such. There's nothing wrong with people probing each other's views, etc, but as long as it's done with civility and logically. And in this instance, I think it's a huge disservice to Xtina and HER fans to conjure ridiculous statements like 90% if you don't have any basis for this statistic.

Anyways. The movie still has release dates up til march. It's gonna keep selling like hot cakes.

The US isn't the only place that matters.
