Mariah Carey says she has no plans to record a duet with Jennifer Lopez. It follows reports that the pair are hoping to release a song.
A spokesperson for Carey said: "The rumours that Mariah and J-Lo will be collaborating for a duet are false."

It's funny because Mariah threw shade at Whitney around that time about Whitney not being on her level because she didn't write. That shade was probably in response to that. They started stanning for each other in later years.

Maybe not, but I do know she calls Mariah her "lamb chop" and showed her tons of respect during the "When You Believe"/1998 time period. I don't think they are friends or anything.
