Personally, I prefer Bad Romance. It was the beginning of the monster era, the song is epic in proportions (more so than Poker Face) and the video... well, we all know about that.

Poker Face was an instant classic and probably the biggest song and the one with most cultural impact of 2009. The lyrics are just as good as Bad Romance (except for "bluffin' muffin'", but "play the cards with spades to start and after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart" is a brilliant verse that makes up for it).

Poker Face could have been the song that made her a one hit wonder. Bad Romance solidified her as the new dominant figure in pop music.

Truth is, I've been recently listening to a LOT of Poker Face, I don't know why. The song is completely out of this world.

Suffice to say, both will go down as two of the best pop records of all time

... but I prefer Bad Romance. It's just so engulfing and emotional...

Especially after it was beaten to the top spot in the UK by an album that has only been out for a month.
