*Word reaches me that Britney Spears has been impressing people behind the scenes whilst working on her new album. One of the producer’s working with her, Fraser T. Smith, tells me she was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Fraser – who penned one of my favourite hits last year, James Morrison and Nelly Furtado’s duet Broken Strings – says she was professional and totally adorable. Fraser said: “We worked on three tracks and I love them all. I turned up straight from the plane and she was fantastic. She made coffee for us all in the studio, her voice was strong and she was totally focused on her music. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I just hope the tracks make the final cut for the album.” Me too – Fraser’s one talented dude. Britney’s new album drops in March.
One week after Star exclusively reported that Britney Spears told her ex-husband that she’s in an abusive relationship with Jason Trawick, the pop star’s handlers are working overtime to squash talk of domestic discord – and paint a picture of domestic bliss.
As packaged details of Britney and Jason’s “romantic” weekend getaway to Mexico spread across celebrity sites, Star reports in our Dec. 20 issue that the trip was merely a publicity stunt designed to make the troubled couple appear happy. In truth, sources say the pop princess feels trapped.
“Britney is a cash cow,” an insider tells Star. “Her parents and management are really trying to keep the scandal under wraps so that it doesn’t affect her career – or the paychecks.”
And after her very public breakdown in 2007 — during which her career and finances took major hits — nobody on Team Britney wants to go through that again.
“Britney has come so far in the last couple of years, and no one around her wants to see it all come crashing down,” adds the insider. “So for now, it looks like she’ll have to stay with Jason. No one else knows what to do.”

The fake recordings of "Britney" have destroyed the credibility of the story - so I don't think it's true at all.

I think they are full of **** and are trying to save face by holding to their guns because Britney and crew embarrassed them badly. Just my opinion though and I hope that they win the lawsuit they are filing and then donate the money they get to a charity of the Queen's choice.
