Meet Me Halfway did not flop...May I just add that upper-middle class prep schoolers would not be fans of the Black Eyed Peas without Fergie in it. She adds something very special to the group. She makes them accessible, just her presence, and of course her voice.
Yeah, of course Fergie is great, I never said I hated her. But I'm so tired to see everyone thinks she's the only reason BEP are popular. Sure, she has contributed to their success, but just not as much as some people think.

What I meant is that it was a flop compared to Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling, which spent 12 and 14 weeks at #1. But compared to an ordinary song, it did great.

Meet Me Halfway wasn't as big because OF the success of I Gotta Feeling. IGF was still huge. Meet Me Halfway stood no chance. The same thing happened with Lady Gaga and LoveGame and Ke$ha with Blah Blah Blah. it would have happened to ANY song that would have been released after that single.
