It's clearly BOMT.

While it may be debated that others are more talented that song put Britney on the map like no other. People who were in girl bands weren't starting from scratch and as much as I love Gaga Just Dance is no BOMT.

You don't see people dressing up as Xtina or Beyoncé or Rihanna from their debut video either do you? Not to mention that it is 10 years on and it is still as popular for fancy dress parties, even amongst those who were like 5 when it came out. The look is instantly recognisable and that music video made everyone else have to step up their game.

It is an iconic debut, but not as iconic as Britney's.

Beyoncé is extremely talented, we all know that but as far as iconic status, the world over BOMT is much more recognisable in it's entirety than CIL. It doesn't take anything away from Bey and her mansions full of awards, it's just how it is.

Beyoncés most iconic song is probably single ladies, it is also instantly recognisable from not only the song but the video and the costumes and dance. It's on par with BOMT but it's not her debut.

Britney does absolutely nothing for me yet even i can admit that "Baby one more time" SLAYED the world. The song is the epitome of the word Iconic. And it's nothing short of comical that anyone can conciously vote for anoter song on the list

I think Crazy in Love is much more recognizable and known worldwide than Single Ladies.

I'd definitely call it more iconic.

Actually, I think its only obvious its Britney because she was totally new to the scene, and BLEW UP like it was no ones business.

Beyonce was already known for Destinys Child, and was the lead singer, so when she released her first single, a lot of people knew about her, and it was still huge, but she was already big.

Thats why Britneys was Iconic.

I mean in it's entirety as in not only the song SL is recognisable but the dance and costumes.

CIL as a song is better and the video is great but it isn't as imitatable or recognisable IMO. I've never ever seen anyone dressed as Beyoncé from CIL but seen plenty dressed as her from SL.

We all know that Britney's debut is the most iconic, everybody remembers it. That said, I love Mariah more though of course
