It's a campaign against child violence. People are encouraged to put up cartoons for their profile pics until Dec. 9

Change your Facebook profile picture to a favorite cartoon character from your childhood and invite friends to do the same until December 6th. There will be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of childhood memories. This is for the prevention of violence/abuse against children.

It something about raising awareness about the abuse of children, I think. It doesn't have to be Disney though, just your favorite cartoon from your childhood.
