To be fair though Ke$ha's snub was far worse than Gaga's. Animal actually got better reviews than Teenage Dream and its biggest single sounded fresher than (and similar to ) Teenage Dream's biggest single.
I'm not saying AOTY but not even one minor nom?
It's her label's fault that they didn't submit her to Dance.

kesha label was stupid to snub the dance category....

She should have submitted Tik Tok or Your Love Is My Drug to Dance Recording.

"Bad Romance" is an ugly song. I know it's supposed to sound that way but that doesn't change the fact that it's a mess. I'm glad the Grammy panel at least had enough sense to recognize that.
The video, however, is a masterpiece and perhaps the best of the new millennium.
Now everyone knows now that best Pop Album is solely between Teenage Dream and The Fame Monster. Maybe the Grammys wanted to create a stan war seeing as Katy has been lashing out at GaGa for the past year. The Grammys are shady son of a bitches.
RIGHT: Arcade Fire‘s Album of the Year nod for The Suburbs was a major coup for indie rock…
WRONG: …but what were Academy voters thinking when they included quintessential singles artist Katy Perry‘s uneven Teenage Dream in the same category?
RIGHT: The Fame Monster put pop royal Lady Gaga in contention for Album of the Year for the second year in a row…
WRONG: …but “Bad Romance,” the best song from that disc, was relegated to female pop vocal and music video categories. No Song of the Year or Record of the Year nods? Rah-rah-ridiculous!
RIGHT: The Academy recognized worthy lesser-known acts like the Black Keys and Mumford & Sons with multiple nominations…
WRONG: …but filled out the list with too many predictable choices like John Mayer, whose most recent album underwhelmed even some fans.
That was what they changed though, right? Gaga wasn't eligible this year because she won an award the year before, so they changed that rule to prevent that from happening again.
The "win" thing is apart of the new rule. The only way Bruno will be eligible for BNA next year is if he doesn't win anything this year. Drake and others got lucky because they didn't win anything last year. Had they won, they wouldn't have been eligible and the BNA new rule wouldn't have benefited them.
