And yes, they do invest a lot more in science (washed up in politics as it is and all) than other countries as mine.

I personally find it disgusting when people start talking about aliens, I don't care if they exist or if they have anything to do with us. That "form of life" they say they found is just a bacteria, unless it mutates and destroys the planet I don't see the big deal, none of us will be alive when better and bigger life forms of alien life show up (if they even exist), they should be using that budget and intelligence to find ways of curing cancer and other horrible diseases instead.

Bacteria aren't just microorganisms. We originated and mutated from them. Plus, although they are the cause of global epidemics, they're beneficial to a lot more things that cause us to exist on earth today.

The arsenic backbone that they say the bacteria possesses is shocking. They need to present clear evidence of what the backbone really looks like though, from the kind of ribose that holds the phosphate to the kinds of nucleic acids that connect the two strands of the DNA. That element is one of the most poisonous ever discovered. However, if the bacteria were ever to mutate, it would take a very long time to do so. Maybe over a thousand to a million years.
