I live in the U.S. and today is was at work, i work at the mall by the way, and i heard Cheryl Cole's "Parachute" being played on the store's radio and i was surprised because she is like completely unknown and she hasn't released any singles.

Now my question is, have you guys ever heard a song at a store and you have been surprised by the song because it's just kinda weird that they are playing it for some reason? I mean it happens to me alot like sometimes they play really recent songs in there.

happens all the time to me, always at work they play songs that i never hear on the radio!
and where i work they're subscribed to a commercial free radio channel!

the two songs i can think of the top of my head are. Kelly Rowland's Rose Colored Glasses and Grown Ass Woman

Not at the store, but at a movie theater I heard Rihanna's Cold Case Love...was rly shocked.

that's weird, they always edit the songs tho like im a big John Mayer song and one of his songs mentions wine and pills and they always edit that but the radio in my store is just weird, ive never heard anything soooo out of line or something

They always play Xtina's "What a girl wants" like every other hour and also Kelly Clarkson's "Since you been gone" and "All i ever wanted" which wasnt even i single i think

One time i heard them play a slighly unknown Shinedown song inside of LoveCulture.
I flipped out. XD
And i've heard some really mainstream rap in Hot Topic...which lately, they are starting to do often. o__0
But granted, i hear very random music in Hot Topic. It's more of a music fan store than a rocker store i guess.

Oh yeah. And they play Daughtry - "Life After You" and Daughtry - "Home" pretty regularly in my gym. Don't know why since neither of those songs are good to work out to. They don't even remix them (thank god btw). It's just the ballad playing in the gym. I guess whoever makes the playlist is a Daughtry fan?

omg my job loves Daughtry, they play him too much and like with lots of different songs and i love Foot Locker for example cause they play the song and the video on the flatscreens

I remember I heard Band Of Horses 'No One's Gonna Love You' once. It's basically unheard of in the UK, and I wouldn't have thought of all people to have the song in a playlist, it would be blonde, dumb-as-**** hair dressers.
