What was the price (USD) of I Am.. Sascha Fierce when it first came out?
If Born This Way ends up being a double disk their prices could be comparable, right?
Well, no. IASF sold 500k first week, and it was 10 dollars. But it isn't a double album in the sense that it is counted twice for sales. The last major release to do that was OutKast in like 2003. And that was because each disc had an album's worth of materials. Beyonce only had like 5 songs on each CD. It was for more sylistic purposes rather than actually having two separate albums.

It is really confusing.
IASF sold 482k. And for an album to truly be considered a double album, and priced as one, it has to actually have the running time of 2 discs.
I wonder if she'll succeed at delivering a "message" through dance beats. It's difficult to strike that balance. A risky move. But if it works, there's nothing that pays off like a risk.
