She can, but the problem was that Gaga consistently outsold the competition, just her radio was under a lot, since the competition found help from other platforms.

You're like a broken record, you keep using the same excuse. GaGa should be able to get to #1 without support from all formats, that's not a viable excuse. Katy, Britney, and Ke$ha have all done it. WRWWR went to 1 with limited airplay because it sold extremely well. Radio isn't as influential as it used to be especially seeing as AI is decreasing. If she's as popular as she's supposed to be then she'll go to 1 effortlessly. When Rihanna topped the chart with WMN it was because of its sales, not airplay. BR was unlucky, but people need to stop referencing it with regard to her future #1 prospects.

Actually no. Her airplay is just as good as Katy's if not better. If I'm not mistaken Bad Romance passed 110-120m+ AI and Telephone did 80-90m.

I think is, especially if BTW is better than TF/TFM. Promotion could also be key. Telephone and Alejandro went #1 & #3 WW, #3 & #5 in the U.S. (respectively) with very little promotion. Imagine if she promotes the **** out of BTW.

WMN actually had a pretty low digital debut (239k is good but not great). It's airplay is what helped it secure a #1 spot as well as the extra day of sales and the SNL performance.

If the first single gets released to radio a little early and gets around 20 mil AI and then if she released the first single, it could possibly sell close to 250+ to vault it to no.1
