Agreed. But devoted fans secure certain first week sales/total sales. Look at Christina Aguilera. Most of the 600k Bionic sold WW came from hardcore fans, as there was zero public interest in that project.
That's true, but we should us previous first week sales as an indicator as to how GaGa will sell. Her following has grown exponentially during the past year, it's realistic to expect the sales of BTW to be more compact than TFM.
I just went to see the pre-medley iTunes positions and I had no idea that her songs had fallen so low

Sales will increase when the new era begins, hopefully they'll get a boost from that medley but it was so bad I'm not sure if it will do anything significant. GaGa's largely out of the public eye. (at least by her standards )
Does anyone think Gaga can become the best-selling digital artist when it comes to singles after BTW?
I know for a fact that no girl will outsell her singles in 2011, not Beyonce OR Rihanna OR Ke$ha will do it. Ke$ha will be the closest competition, but I doubt it. Rihanna really doesn't sell well unless it's a collaboration. And Beyonce isn't a strong single seller, more of an album seller.
