^ Of course she needs support from casual buyers. As long as her label invests a lot on her she'll be able to promote a lot, which translates to exposure to potential casual buyers. She's good at doing that. That's why I predict some longevity for this era

The 90% was referring to the total buyers of the album in the US (2,500,000 for standard Fame before the re-release).

All of her true fans are supportive but they are a minority of the total buyers.

As fans go GaGa's are more devoted than most. She has far more die-hard fans than Ke$ha and Katy.

Her 1st-week single/album sales haven't been that strong; her massive numbers come from consistency, which is indicative of general public interest vs. a strong supportive fanbase.

Everyone needs casual buyers, they control the chart. Everyone who purchases music is a casual buyer in relation to certain artists.

Her fan base is much, much more bigger now than when she released Bad Romance/The Fame Monster. I actually don't think she had a lot of die-hard fans then.

Agreed. But devoted fans secure certain first week sales/total sales. Look at Christina Aguilera. Most of the 600k Bionic sold WW came from hardcore fans, as there was zero public interest in that project.

I think her fanbase has definetly grown during the course of this year, so I'd expect 1st week sales to be maybe a bit more than before
