She does. Her fanbase isn't as big/supportive as some think. Her first-week sales are never that strong, she's sold well over time b/c (a) the material is good and (b) the media loves to talk about her so she's in the spotlight. Her success is more attributable to the general public than to her fanbase.

I think her fanbase has grown a lot over since TFM release. I'm pretty sure she will sell a lot more than 173k first week.

She can impress us with BTW, the difference between the first week sales of TF and TFM is noticeable enough. Her popularity continues to rise no matter what, even when she's on "break". I also think she'll even surpass her BTW first week sales with her 4th studio album, her fanbase will grow even more by that time.
