Katy needs to be able to sing her own songs and yes Katy is talented, we're not debating that. Jessica was saying that she felt she had a negative experience. And it doesn't matter if she has or hasn't had 3 number ones, she is entitled to her opinion.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; Jessica included. Maybe you should read what the lines actually say, not what you think they say.

Gurl, where did I say anything about Katy being a great live singer?
I said she isn't the best live singer, but there's no need for Jessica to be saying all of this mess in an interview about
HER album. If Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna, Britney, Ke$ha, etc. did/said the same thing, do you think people would be brushing it off as whatever? I don't think so.
Again, there's nothing wrong with her or anyone else having an opinion, I just don't think it's appropriate to be talking about other artists' live vocal skills while promoting your album. That is all.
Like Sammi said, she's not greatest singer of all the pop gals atm, but she still has talent to back it up. Like for instance, that applies to the girl in your avatar too. 
You guys act like she's 100% talentless, she can disappoint here and there, but still, the ability to sing is there.
