I have been flying to the states on my own to meet friends since I was 15 and after an incident I always make it clear that if I am to be searched or patted down it WILL be by a woman and not some 40 yr old dude.

Your choice, do you want to have TSA agents keep images of your naked body, or do you want to be sexually assaulted? Give me a ****ing break. This isn't security; this is the gratuitous manipulation of people who don't know any better. What's the end result? No one is actually more secure, they're just more afraid. Stephen Colbert's dream come true.

Once again, we're being "protected" from our own rights. It's like the Patriot Act all over again. Very disappointing.

It's also really easy to say "well, just don't fly," but that's easier said than done for a lot of people who already have previous family or business commitments. They shouldn't have to give up their right to privacy just because they need to travel.
