Yeah, but the difference between GaGa and Florence is that Florence has the type of record that tends to win ROTY. That's why Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse were able to win big awards. The average voter may still see GaGa as a novelty act. SOTY would probably be the "Bad Romance" win.

Yeah, the chances of winning ROTY are very low for Bad Romance. SOTY is a shoe-in. If Single Ladies can win, Bad Romance can win EASILY, especially compared to all the crap that came out this year.

The biggest competition for Gaga, per predictions, would be Eminem and Antebellum. The Grammys never give SOTY to rap songs and Bad Romance has a much more interesting song structure than Need You Now, and it's arguably more well-known.

What's so funny about B.o.B getting a slot in Best Rap Album? He accumulated three top 10 hits, had a #1 album and his album is approaching gold, which is decent for a new rap artist. He may most certainly get a filler spot in Best Rap Album. If Flo Rida got in last year, B.o.B most certainly has at least a small chance, especially considering all the success he has had throughout the year and the fact that he has gotten recognition from many shows.

I know that but I just dont see him getting in this year. He will be getting nods but I dont see a best Rap Album nod. I mean this was a huge year for Hip Hop. Last year was dismal. Kanye should have won last year but he submitted to Pop like an ass

Anyways.. the point is you have acts like Nas who's album is >>> and plus is more respected in the business. its not always about commercial success and pop hits.

I'm not expecting huge nominations for Sade, but do not be surprised if Soldier of Love ended up in AOTY. They always nominate one or two vets and I can't think of anyone else who would be up for that spot besides King & Taylor.

I said do not be surprised if he gets a nomination there for those reasons. He may not get in, but I don't think it's totally impossible for him to get a filler spot. He's not an unknown and the industry seems to love him enough if he continues to muster up these nominations at every award show.

yeah hes up for a filler but theres a 3 way battle for Rap Album. Jay vs Em vs Drake. Whoever gets the other 2 positions can consider them lucky but I dont think they have a chance. B.o.B has a chance in Best Urban/Alternative I hope he submitted something there. Plus hes a lock for best new Artist in my eyes.

Bad Romance is one of the best written songs of this year. Stop underestimating it. From the unique "Rah rah ah ah ah" hook to the unexpected Hitchcock references, it's easily one of the best songs of this year, lyrically. And obviously its musical structure is like no other song in history.

(And ESOM wasn't submitted for SOTY, but it wouldn't have won anyway.)

I think Soldier of Love could end up in Album and Record. It just feels like this is her/their year.

In fact, I'm thinking (and HOPING) that this year will have another near split in Song/Record nominations. Don't get me wrong - last year was great, but if we have another year like 2005-2006 ...

I don't think B.o.B qualifies for Urban/Alternative. His songs generally fall into either the pop or rap categories.

Deemy/Haus - Take the stanfighting ELSEWHERE.

Also, I think that a milli plus week is going to pay itself off into "Mine" sneaking into Song and/or Record.

Katy won't get a SOTY nomination and there's sure as hell not going to be two rap songs going up for ROTY.
And I highly doubt Ke$ha will get a ROTY nom, Tik Tok is more likely to get a SOTY nom but even then, it's somewhat unlikely.

THTBM is the most likely choice for Song/Record nods, but I want Miranda to get a personal nomination - that's why I'm hopedicting White Liar in Song.
