When I first heard it I liked no other songs than the singles, but rest assured, they are growers.

S&M- A catchy song that is club friendly for sure...I wouldn't call it better than OG though, it's more reminiscent of Sexy Bitch (4.5/5)
What's My Name- You've heard it, I shouldn't need to go into depth. It is a great song, the "Rude Boy" of Loud (5/5)
Cheers- I've tried and tried, listened to the fans loving it, but I just can't get into cheers...it's too monotone and she seems miserable singing it (i know she is trying to sound laid back) (2/5)
Fading- Catchy song, not one of my favorites but enjoyable nonetheless (3.5/5)
OG- No need to go into depth, great club song...one of my favorite songs off the album (5/5)
California King Bed- The instrumental with the emotion of her voice is undeniable. This is one of my favorite Rihanna ballads (5/5)
Man Down- A little too repetitive with the Rum Bum Ba Bum's but a fun song, and adds to the album's theme (4/5)
Raining Men- Nicki's verse = WIN. I really like this song...and I don't compare it to video phone, bc this is far above and beyond that track (4.5/5)
Complicated- Another highlight off the album, the beat is simple, but her vocal power behind the chorus is great (4/5)
Skin-A lot of ppl seem to either love or hate this song or at least it seems this way on the forum, I love this song. It's actually my favorite track on the album...even more than WMN and that features Drake who is my favorite musician of the moment (5/5)
LTWYL II - Great remake but I don't see myself listening to it in the near future just b/c I outplayed the original on my Ipod and this version isn't significantly different (3.5/5)

Overall Loud is strong, and aside from a few Ok tracks, the album is great (4/5)

Rated R is a better album, more cohesive, more thought after, more interesting. But Loud showcases Rihanna's voice and versatility more and it's somehow more innovative for her, new authors, new song styles while Rated R yes had dubstep production but was pretty much the same writers of GGGB, it was like a dark GGGB. I think Loud is a new stepping stone from where she can go to many directions, it's her grown up album.

Overall: 8/10

The whole album is great! "California King (Bed)" is awesome, but not my fave. "Fading" is her best track on the album! For some reason, this album doesn't hit me as hard as "Rated R". I love Urban Rihanna more than Pop Rihanna! I think! lol Simply cause "Rated R" was emotional on different levels.

S&M sounds so Generic and just BAD. Her worst single so far.

Only songs I like: Whats my name, LTWYL II, Man down because of her accent and Raining Men (but only because of Nicki's Verse )

I definitely agree with the ones who have said the album is bad. Where are the stand out tracks which represent the album?

"Only Girl" is amazing! It is probably the best on the album, mainly because I love the style and I love how Rihanna belts out the chrous. "Cheers" is pretty nice, however it sounds sooo recycled. Her caribbean accent shines in this track though, as well as other tracks such as "Man Down" (which is a great track). "Complicated" is a good track, but generic.

The only part of the album I LOVE is her accent in most of the songs. It makes the songs sound non generic and also original.

Overall I'd give the album around 5/10... but her past two albums are SO much better than this album.

I think it's just stupid saying this is her best, because its quality is nowhere near to GGGB or RR quality. This album has some not that good tracks and only like 4 amazing tracks, her past albums had no not that good tracks they were full masterpieces. The album is good but as I said a let down. i believe that is coz riri jumped too fast from rated r to a new album.

I wouldn't say she's a good singer. She has an unique and distinctive voice and that definitely adds up to her value as an artist but being a good singer? Nah nah. Average.

I Give this Album an "A"

Boring, lacks originality and inspiration & rushed. "Cheers" & "Whats My Name? are the only songs I TRULY love. "OG" is acceptable now that the entire album sucks, and "S&M" & "Raining Men" are good on a random shuffle moment, but I'll probably delete them in the future. Only 5 I kept, the rest of the album went to the trash.

Coming Rated R being such an amazing album.
